According to a reporter’s review of records on the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website, Zhongji Innolight obtained FCC certification for three product series on September 21.
As the necessary conditions for implementing the relevant restrictions through the FCC had not been met, U.S. lawmakers subsequently put forward a legislative proposal specifically addressing the use of these products by national security agencies. The proposal is intended to mitigate data-security risks within government agencies that handle classified information. Commercial uses outside this defined scope would not be subject to the proposed restrictions.
